Surgery Group of Grand Island is pleased to welcome Jeremiah "J.J." Jensen, APRN-NP to their team of surgical professionals. As an Advance Practice Registered Nurse, Mr. Jensen will perform numerous duties, including assisting in surgeries, post operative care and patient education.

Mr. Jensen earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Nursing in Scottsbluff (2000), and his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Nursing in Kearney (2005). He is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Basic Life Support. He and his wife, Shana, have a son and two daughters.

Founded in 1999, Surgery Group of Grand Island is one of the area's leading surgical groups, performing a wide variety of procedures, and is one of the few in central Nebraska to offer advanced minimally invasive laparoscopy. Laparoscopic surgery can often be done with less pain, quicker recovery time, and less risk of infection than traditional "open" surgical methods. The group performs colonoscopy and gastroscopy procedures, and specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of breast disease.

Mr. Jensen joins a surgical team which includes Daniel Cronk, M.D., Steven Schneider, M.D., John Goering, M.D., and Brant Luebbe, M.D.
